Oil Filter Reloaction

So I have an Amsoil Dual remote bypass filter on my truck (its badass, well worth money). Well it took a lot of thought on the install 1st go around and now with me working on finishing the full cage aspect of truck Ive gotta move it.

So the question from those more experienced in the 2rz motor....

How far can I move my filters from the stock location (at the same or lower height) without causing issues? Any tips on bigger oil pumps or a booster pump if I need more distance?

Ive done my share of Googling and stuff but never find my answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

I think there is a relocation kit. Not sure though.

 

There are a lot of relocation kits, and my Dual Bypass is basically that except it runs a full flow and a bypass filter. Just wondering what the furthest I can relocate the filter is without loosing all my oil pressure.

 

I ran, literally, 20' of extra oil hose on my VW bus to an oil radiator, to help cool the engine and never had a problem.
It is a win win win, you get easier filter access, more oil capacity and cooler oil!

Good to know. Hope the 2rz can handke distance too. Anybody know for sure? Or a booster pump idea?

 

Pretty sure you can compensate for distance by using larger-diameter lines.

 

But if you use larger lines dont you lose oil pressure? I talked to guys down at Dons Hotrod here in Tucson AZ and they run them 3 and 4 feet away all the time. So by the time you are done it might be 8 feet worth of line... Its hard to know the volume of oil the little 2.7 puts out and if its enough to go 10 feet or 16 feet. I too want an external cooler and filter but deal with the issue of how far is to far...
