    Questions answers i want anything!
I am in serious consideration of doing it, and i dont have the heart to sell my truck. I love it too much, has anyone actually done it?!
    I want answers!
AND how much would it cost?
would i have to get a new lift kit?

for a first gen its relatively easy if you have some mechanical experience

Best bet is to hit up and find parts and extensive writeups on how

I can recall a couple of folks doing it for $2000 or less

the only thing i would love to know is that if its worth it to fork over the money for a 4x4 conversion, or should i just sell the truck and buy something new

That's a question only you can answer. Where I live and hunt I can't justify forking over the cash when a 2wd with clearance is all I need.

Go for it! You don't have to sell it in order to get what you want. It has been worth every penny, especially if you go wheeling. It messes with people when you tell them it is/was 2wd. If you do the conversion right I think it will come out to be a better truck than if you just bought one. You can end up with the best of both worlds/couple different options that different years came with

I used to hunt, but i had a major accident last year that cost me 5 days in the hospital/surgery on lungs and intestines, the whole nine yards. I plan on hunting this year sometime just to get back out to the sport i loved. what do you hunt?
    I mostly hunt upland game.

Dove, javelina, elk, white tail and mule deer. Anywhere we hunt out here is 2wd accessible though, but we usually have a full size 4x4 along with us as well

I've done mine, but you should get your research going and come back with specific questions you need assistance on. The information is out there for general consumption. TTORA is a great resource.
