I wanted to change my dash lights to green on my 04. I found the complete heater control assembly for a 02 4runner on ebay for $40.00. It was plug and play! Even the a/c and recirculate lights are green. Thanks guys!!

Sweet score on fleabay there! If you get a chance could you take a snap shot of your entire setup with the green dash lights on your Taco? I kind of miss the green setup from when I had it in my old 3rd gen 4runner. I think I'm going to try to switch everything to a clean white but still leaning towards the green to bring back some memories from the T4R. :)

What's nice with the panel cover from the 4runner (the cover that goes over the control assembly) is that you can change the bulbs to whatever colors you like but with the Taco panel cover you're stuck with orange.

If anyone is worried about trying to find the 4runner part. Try a local junkyard/pick-n-save type place.

I love your setup, looks great! Ok so 2 things you gotta share with me:

    1) Where did you get that altimeter/tiltometer looking unit that took over the cig drawer?

    2) I see your key ring is lit up, I missed that on my 4runner, what part did you use to install it?

Sorry for going a little off topic, but I gotta know! BTW, thanks for sharing those pics!!

Pretty sure the altimeter/inclinometer came out of a pre-Tacoma pick up.

I love the red needles on the gauge cluster

X2. More importantly how the hell did you get the ignition off the steering column?

Ok, so the clinometer I picked up on eBay for $20.00. The ignition ring came off a 4runner in the junk yard. Its just a plastic ring that slides over your existing key cylinder. You will also need the larger grommet to go with it. Thanks for the compliments guys! Its not done though, my wife left me back in September and my divorce build is in progress! Also the clinometer is pretty rare to find on eBay due to the truck graphic on it. Most of them have a jeep graphic. I just kept checking and finally got one, so they are out there!

Nope! Its just a clear plastic ring with a light bulb in it. I wired mine up to my park lamps. I think they were designed to be on the dome light circuit, but I'm not sure.

I basically made a new face plate for it. The clock itself is actually green but the red lens is making it appear red. I will tell you how I did it with crap laying around my apartment..after work. Stand by

Remove the clock and you see that it's a red lens..clock is green. I cut out the area of lens that the clock is visible through (mine was cracked anyways) Then, I used the thin plexi glass? that comes on the front of a poster frame, slice out piece the size of clock. I tinted it with 6 layers of a decorative blue film. I used llumar deco blue scraps from work. then put that between clock and frame before attaching to the dash piece...and after you drill the holes out for buttons..I laid a thin piece of black plastic on bottom half cause the scraps weren't all the right size

Confirmed with All Star Toyota parts in Baton Rouge: The 4Runner bezel has been "Superceded" by the Tacoma part. All you will get now is the orange paint bezel. Major bummer. I was hoping it wasn't true. Oh well, off to ebay I go!
