i know from working on toyotas for a living that toyotas dont like aftermarket cats. the computers are really picky. Alot of the time a customer will have an aftermarket cat installed and they will still get a p0420 code....

The price is so high because they have Platinum in them... And add on the fact it's a OEM Toyota part that makes it even more costly.

Some lift, some armor, some scratches..
Go with the Maganaflow cat and just get a URD o2 sim. From what I'v read it works great w/ gutted or high-flow cats to take care of the PO420 problem and trick the computer into thinking everything is A-ok. It will b alot cheaper too.

When my rear cat goes this is exactly what I plan to do

Will the CEL thrown from a after marker cat decrease fuel economy or engine performance? I know you can get a o2 simulator from URD, but is it needed.

I got a Catco converter off Craigslist for $30 and it fixed my code, hasn't come back on since. I've always use Catco on all my cars and never had any problems, but not sure about Magnaflow.

Ive had the magnaflow for 4 years now and the entire time I have been stuck with the damn CEL P0136 code. cant get rid of it. Its kinda common.
