Uniball UCA's tend to get more dirt and grit in them causing them to become loud and squeeky. May also result is less lifespan than a regular UCA.

Haha seems like u guys are pulling me in. The only I wanna know about it though is just if I could get a little higher in lift. Here in Hawaii we don't really have many places to run through sand like that (now that I think about it I can't think of even one place to do that). We have some really bad rock action here so climbing is pretty much our little girls life out here. So far I've already dented up my front bumper and pushed up my skid plate and got some nice scratches under so. I'm trynna keep that to the minimum. The extended coilovers could work. Budget wise I'm deffinity NOT trynna find the cheapest way out but financially I'm not going to invest all top notch equipment into this. Gotta find that medium set up.

Oh the front fj timburons are great. It's the rears that are way to stiff for wheeling

Well thats the medium lift you want. Any bigger calls for long travel, or lifts that cost way too much. You can probably run some 16" wheels and some 33" tires.

    some pics from here. http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1st-gen-builds/138220-jasons-long-travel-toy-taco.html

you can just do a google search "mid travel tacoma"

also when keeping indepent front suspension the best height for rock crawling is still 3 inches. when you go above 3 inches of lift you need to switch to a drop bracket type of lift and this makes your ground clearance worse than a 3 inch lift. so a 3 inch is your best bet. or solid axel swap, if you for 7ish grand laying around, and thats if you do your own work

Shorter lifespan? How exactly? Uniballs are easy to replace and cheap.

If anything, I would expect ball-joint UCAs to get destroyed much more quickly than uniballs given how much weaker they (ball-joints) are.

97yota. That's sick. I want something like that. Bit that set up needs the fiberglass fenders doesn't it. Idk about spending that much money for the fenders. Does that set up require them. If not then I think that might be it.

Hey 97yota. Not to be a jacker or anything but umm I really like that set up and even more I like about it is that there's like almost no one if any that has that set up here. I'm trynna be different and plus out perform everyone else. Do u think u could give me some pointers. I was thinking about some 285/70/17 kind of tires. What size are your tires

to be honest alot of people have that set up, cause its the best besides long travel and solid axel swap.

it will perform very well though!!

my tires are only 31x10.5x15 right now, but i ordered 33x12.5x15s:)
do you already have after market wheels? if not i suggest going down to a 15 inch wheel, more sidewall, tires are cheaper.

i suggest a 33 inch tire but you will have to cut a little to make them fit.

all my details about my truck are in my build (link in sig)
