Hello. Ok I read the post here:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/153050-just-fixed-driveline-vibration-free-2.html

Got an 03 TRD extra cab, not 4x4

Did the 5100s up front with ome springs and 5100s in rear with toyte AAL.
I have vibration that starts about 18mph and up to 25 then fades and comes back a little around 60.

Went outside and tried to get my angles based on above post. Before I did this I had already tried dropping the carrier bearing a 1/2 inch. Seemed to help tiny bit but still there.

On my driveway, This is what I got for the angles
    Transfer case: 6.5
    1st shaft: 8.4
    2nd shaft: 9.5
Differential: 3.8 (this was the hardest one) used the center rib on the side which appeared to be inline with the output shaft.

Sooooo, can someone help me determine what I should do based on these numbers taking into account I have the CB dropped a 1/2"?

    thanks

Wow no one has any suggestions or ideas on how I can proceed after getting this far?

thanks rc. Ive dropped it a 1/2 inch already and was under the impression that you werent supposed to drop it more than an 1" max and that if you needed to you really needed to do a CB drop and a small rear axle shim to split the difference.

Mine thing is I have the angle measurements, but am not sure now what to do with them to tell me exactly what I need to do. CB drop up to ?" or put it back and so a rear axle ship up to ? degrees or a little of both. I really dont want to have to guess and keep trying. OR that that all out and just put in a single drive shaft. Then again more expensive.

    Canada Eh!
I had similar vibrations as you. 3" lift made the rear d-shaft angle a little much. I tried stacking washers to lower the CB, it made a small difference but not much. I ended up getting a CB drop bracket made by Beefed Tacos (Street Tacos). It's a 1.5" drop and it fixed all of my vibrations! It is very well built and comes with all grade 8 hardware.

(I am in no way associated with Street Tacos)

95-04 tacoma is on the 4th page.

    They make a great solution!

-Oh and I do not have my axle shimmed. I dont feel any vibration coming from the rear u-joint. I think the shims would only extend the life of the u joint.

Sounds to me like you have more that one source of vibration. Which OME springs did you use? Is the spring perch on the 5100s on the lowest setting?

You have done a wheel alignment after installing the lift, right?

Thanks. I used the ome 881 springs I believe. I dont have a wench or anything and the 880s were too light and 882 too heavy. On top of that I added a 3/8 spacer. The 5100s were set on their lowes setting. I did also get the alignment done.

I feel it start a little when I first take off if slow. If I really take off, I dont notice anything till around 18 or 20 up to almost 30. Then around 60 or so I can feel it but the vibration seems different than at lower speeds. More of a constant thing. Like if I take my foot of the gas and dont apply power it diminishes. Or seems to anyway.

On the rear I added the toytec 2" AALs and replaced the U bolts with larger and longer bolts also from toytec. I also just had the rear most u joint changed closest to the differential.

i'm really tempted to try this product out. i have vibrations post lift at around 65-70mph then i went and bought the toytec bearing spacer. it went out but just a little and it's annoying. did you try putting spacers before you got the ones from streettacos?
