OK...proabably my bad, but didn't read about the risk to this prior to doing the modifications. The outside boots are open, grease out. I've read everything from "OMG stop driving and fix them NOW!" to "I've been driving for 40K miles with mine torn." I want to fix them, but cannot find a solution for the fix. If I put on new ones, they'll likely tear again. Has anyone experienced this, have experience with fixing them or not? Again, my truck has 94K on it and runs great. It's in outstanding shape so I want to fix them, but want a permanent solution if I take the time to fix them. Help if you can please or tell me how long you've gone with yours split. Thanks!

Pictures, what are they set at, mileage on the truck? CV's are easy to replace.

OK..set at 2.75"...1" spacer to push down the transfer case. I can fix them I think, but don't want to fix them only to fail again...are there any fixes that allow me to leave it as is?

If you already have the diff drop (which doesn't help much) then the only permanent fix will be to drop your billy's down a notch so that the CV fins aren't touching. Plain and simple.

Toytec 2.5" lift., just the beginning. Front Builstein coil-overs fully adjustable from 0-3". 2" AAL in the rear with 2.5 degree shim. Total Chaos uni-ball UCA's.
I've got the same setup on mine. I have actually dropped the diff just a little bit more and it eliminated the rub. I used 2 X 1/8" Washers on each side, essentially dropping another 1/4 inch.. Checked out the front drive shaft and it's good. Allowed about 1/8" clearance at full compression between boots and adjustable spring-seat.
