Wheel N' Tire Advice

Just lifted my truck over the weekend with 3" OME kit from toytec. Bit of a pain in the ass but well worth it, looks great.

I realized that my stock rims and tires do not look so hot, so i want to go with 15X10 Eagle Alloy 102's and 33x12.5 BFG A/T.

Im going to add a 2 or 3 " body lift to fit the 33's.

Now What backspacing and offset will i need to fit these tires. I dont want the tires to stick out too much but i want it to have that agressive look.

I dont think you will need a body lift to clear the tires. Body lifts suck, avoid them at all costs.

If you do need a little bit of extra clearance, a 1'' body lift would be the max I would do.

I have 15X8 Eagle alloys, 3.5'' BS (IIRC) w/ 33X12.5X15 goodyear wranglers.

 

Also be sure the 15's you go with will fit properly without hitting your calipers, and ^ is right about the body lift, no need for it to fit 33's and if you were to do one 1" MAX and if you get one get it from this guy: http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/BodyLiftKit.shtml

 

Well I didn't plan on a body lift, but eveywhere I read, people say you need a body lift to fit 33s so they don't rub. I personally don't want one. also how will I know if 15x10s rub.

 

yea screw the BL. It'll get you from not having to trim but its not worth it.

 

YEa it will be alot easier to just trim some sheet metal...and just look around on here for what 15's fit

 

i'd go with a 15x8" wheel ..backspacing somewhere around 3.5 to 3.75 ..there really isn't a need for 10" wide wheels unless it's just for looks.

 

You will be able to fit 33's with the OME lift kit. I just put 285/75-16's on and have plenty of room with the same lift. May want to consider 16"x8" wheels and then no worries about fit. Just my opinion.

 

what backspacing did you have to fit the 285/75-16s?

 

For reference, this is how far 33x12.50s with 4" backspacing on a 3" OME lift will stick out. You won't need a body lift to fit 33s especially if you don't wheel a lot, some modification to the pinch weld will suffice.

 

is it the less backspacing, the more they will stick out?

 

Yeah, 3.75" BS will stick out 1/4" further.

the Eagle Alloy Series 101 in Super Finish only comes in 15x8 with a 3.5" backspace...

the 3.5" will likely rub quite a bit and stick out significantly...

the 15x10 is in black only with 3.625" backspace...

if you did the 16x8, you could do 3.625" with a bit less rub...

Raceline Wheels aka Allied Wheel Components, makes a 15x10 in that style with a 3.625" backspace as well... part number 887-50060

Procomp has it in 15x8 with 3.75" backspace and 15x10 in 3.625" backspace too...

 

yea im trying to stay away from the 15s so i can use the tires i have now until i buy my new tires who makes the 16s with 3.625? sorry man i didnt know you replied on both of my post

 

33x12.5x15's on a 15x10 with a 3.75" BS and a -44mm offset. I hope that gives you a good idea how it will sit

that's a lot of money to drop to go skipping from 15s to 16s...

if you are going to get aftermarket 15s, may as well stay with them, unless you have the deep pockets to trade out... sometimes, it can be hard to sell 10" wide wheels... well, maybe to a hawaiian... =X

as for 16s im running the Eagle Alloy Series 100 which is a 16x8 with 3.625" backspace....
