Well I agreed to help a friend out with some farm work, which involved hauling some 1,500 pounds of pigs and sheep to another ranch for slaughter. I had to back the trailer up to a barn, which ended up being 10 or so maneuvers around fences and slopes. I had to use 4wd because it was pretty muddy in spots. I smelled the clutch burning a little and am just wondering how much damage is actually done when you can smell the clutch burning?

You may have just heated it up a lot... In my car I smell mine after a good run through the mountain passes. It's still never failed me and that's after 140K

Was it a light smell from outside? Or could you smell in it the cab?

    ...too much shit to list.
There is no equasion or clutch damage to smell ratio that I'm aware of.
Drive it till it slips and then replace it.
