I have a 97 Tacoma and I'm wanting to buy a bush bar I can mount lights and a winch on. I'm not even sure of you can have a winch on a bush bar. So my question is, do they exist and if so is there a certain brand/type? A link to a site would be appreciated. Thanks.

Most brush guards I've seen built for Tacoma's aren't mounted securely enough to put a winch on. They mount to the front of the frame rails via brackets, if you were winching you'd end up pulling the brush guard off the front of your truck.

what you would want would probably be a full plate or tube bumper, like an ARB or Elite Offroad. A little more pricey than a brush guard, but offers more protection and is much more sturdy. Check out the Vendor section of TW.

Jay W. Ya I didn't think they were sturdy enough but I figured I would ask just to make sure. Thanks.
