if its a single cab 2wd early toyota pickup or 1st gen taco with a 2jz swap. Then its cool

Otherwise IMO trucks shouldn't even come in 2wd.

I think if it's a mini.....slam it. If I was made of money and could do all the projects I wanted I would need at least a 10 car garage lol. Not a single thing except yota would live in that thing though. There's something sexy about a bagged, tucked, body dropped yota layin frame. There's also a lot of fun you can have with a huge 4x4 SAS yota. IMO it takes just as much skill do make a sleek, clean, or wild slammed yota as making a truly amazing offroad rig. Dropping it just takes a hell of a lot more work on a lift lol. IE you don't need a lift to do an oil change on a lifted truck lol.

Personally I always wanted to drop a yota and somehow get a LX450 awd system in there with a 2jzte.....it would be pretty sick if you made it work.

I saw a lot of offroading spots on Oahu and big island. Cherry trails on big island for sure brah. If I had my taco out there I'd try and take the trail from Yokes to the north shore.

geez, first off, if the you aren't into a certain scene, why come into the the dudes thread and s**t all over it? "A truck should be lifted and be able to carry my 6 shotguns and 60 deer without having a so cal bro dude lean, those bros with skinny jeans are a disgrace" I wear skinny jeans; i'm not a disgrace, have a happy life and save lives while I'm at it..skinny jeans or not ;). wow people, get out of your redneck village some more...leave your badgers behind. if the dude wants to lift his front end 9 in and drop his rear 4....let him, he's modding his truck and he's effin happy about it. There, I let it out in 29.5 seconds. flag me.

Not to be negative, but why not sell your tacoma, buy a car that looks great dropped (acura, honda, etc...) and pocket the change? I never understood lowering tacomas, not just because I like offroading in mine, but because it seems like a lot of wasted money. A 2wd tacoma is still pretty darn off-road capable, even the 4 banger 5-lugs, for the record. Tacomas just don't look right lowered - if you want to lower a truck, buy a pre-1960s chevy. Just my 2cp.

In the end it's all about personal preference. I think tacomas looked great lowered (exception being the dc). I appreciate just about any well thought out and clean looking modifications to any vehicle. The 24" on grandma's box chevy or the M&M themed donks is kinda where I draw the line. Some guys just don't have a need or desire to off-road and that's perfectly fine.

Full custom stereo, onboard air compressor, train horns, spacer lift, 30" tires, optima yellow top, rear slider window & tailgate anti-theft mod, pop & lock, class 3 tow hitch, lights in bed, Ultra Gauge, Weather Tech mats, yellow fog lights, camper top, air lift rear airbags, rear diff breather mod, soon to be more...
I ran my truck for 5 years with the lowered look, my truck already looked lowered when I bought it brand new. I have since lifted it and put 30s on it. I like both. How young you are, where your from, and the type of people you hang out with usually depicts what type of truck your going to like, and the people from the opposite lifestyle can not understand. It works both ways and it's called being different. If you like lowered trucks that scrape the ground and shoot sparks 60ft behind you while cruising the highway that is great, if you want to drive through 3ft of water without your truck shutting off, well......I also like that. I want to enjoy seeing them all, sitting on the frame or flying through the desert taco's rule.
