What do you think about this? (replace in-dash clock)

I've read over the overwhelming dislike on the location of the in dash clock in 1st gens. What I would like to do is remove said clock and replace it with a trans temp gauge, since I did install and after market transmission cooler. I was thinking something with a white face like this. Granted, it would still be difficult to see but at least it's a tad more functional. Your thoughts?
