So I had about 10 minutes to kill today at work. And I thought... Hummm, I wonder whats on Craigstlist...

Opened it up and typed "Tacoma" DAMN, there sat a listing for Tacoma #5

2001 Extended cab TRD... Christ... I tried to stop myself, but I couldn't. I called... I called about parts... I went and bought it. hahahaha

Its not near the project that the "Black Beater" was, but I am bring another Tacoma back from the dead. It will be delivered to my house tomorrow and I will post pics. Its going to be another project, and I hope my wife still loves me once she sees it. If she does, it must be true love.

All parts from my 97 will still be for sale. I am not modding this one, keeping it stock. At least thats what I am telling myself right now.

I got the paperwork UPS today. Gotta sign the form and send it back with a copy of my title.

They should get it all Tuesday, then just wait for the call for the meeting and accept the check.

I will be starting a build thread in the next few days, check it out and sub to it as well.

Thanks, I loved that truck and the build. Has me stoked to do this one... I am thinking I will call this one "Red Rocket" but I am not dead set on the name yet.

Very cool. Will do! I love my 2nd gen but I have to admit there is something about the 1st gens that is very attractive, visually :)

I know what you mean. I got a 2011 TRD Sport back in January. I loved that truck but the gas milage was killing me so I had to trade my beloved Speedway Blue Tacoma in on a Civic.

Yeah, I sold it about a year ago. Its in Florida. I would had like to keep it, but just no place to keep it and didn't want to leave it sitting out in the weather.
