removing the tailgate on a first gen

anyone removed theirs yet for any reason?? i havent looked real closely, but it looks like just a bolt on either side and its off......is this correct?? im taking mine off to bedline my tailgate this week sometime hopefully.

Ya i took mine off last week. You got it, just taking the bolts off is all thats involved. A socket wrench with an extension is need to get the bottom bolts off. I had to take mine off to put that net on.
