So, I don't know why. But, I have been having some extremely bad luck with this Tacoma. I love it, and don't wanna get rid of it. But, I may have to once I get this issue resolved.

Anyways, I have a 1999 Toyota Tacoma and I have been having issues with the power steering pump for ages. Anyways, I took it to a shop so they can replace the pump( I do not have time atm to fix it myself). And found out, that not only the pump is bad, but the pulley and the reservoir are gone too. I knew the pulley was going bad. I know this next part is not to smart, but I have been driving it without the bolt for the pulley. Yet, it remains to hold onto the pulley. Seems like it got pressed on.
Anyways, to get to the point. I made a post earlier about parts online. I have checked every valid site I can find. I went to all the local stores, called stores back where I live, including all the salvage yards I could find. Both here in NC, and back home. I need to be pointed in the direction of a pulley and reservoir

Does the pulley for a prerunner fit the tacoma. I know they aree different engine sizes. I am pretty sure all 4cyl prerunners are 2.4l and my truck is a 2.7. All 4x4's are 2.7l when 4cyl. And Same question for the reservoir.

If not, I have only found one other choice, and that is a 1-2 hr drive back home.

A salvage yard should be able to tell you if the pumps are interchangeable.

Id vote look online on a toyota parts website to locate your part number for the needed items.

Then cross ref that part number with that of the prerunner or other of your choosing. If the part number is the same, you are in bidness.

Any 4-cylinder prerunner will have the 2.7l. I've got a 2000 prerunner with that engine. The 2.4l are on the 5-lug tacomas.
