I have a 2001 Tacoma Double Cab. I would like to have a Double Din Nav/DVD System. As most of you know the location would be low. I don't really want to get a adjustable screen system. Is there a way to move the Climate control down and put a double din up where the view would be better. If you have done this, I would like to see some pictures. I saw a couple, but can't find them now. Any info and advice would be appreciated. If this can happen, i want to to look good. Thanks

I've looked at doing this myself and decided it just wasn't feasible. There's a couple issues. The center venting comes down behind the climate controls and would have to be moved/reshaped/removed to make a head unit fit up there. The other issue is the shape of the center console. Not looking at it now but IRC it tapers in a way that would involve some cutting and look terrible.
