09 tundra coils on 99 tacoma?????

I am being given some 09 trd tundra coils will they fit my 99 prerunner im guessing not but hell they are free so i think im gonna try it if anyone knows yes or no it will save me time. regardless its gonna be a free project i got access to everything id need if they will.

Says you need new tundra shocks, spacer, and extended top plate studs.

 

Bad idea. That v8 alone probably weighs more than the entire front half of your taco. Its going to rattle you teeth out. Not to mention, your likely going to have to cut and weld shit to make them fit. The link that isu2014 posted is for putting 1st gen tundra coils on a tacoma, not 2nd gen tundras.

 

I have 1st gen Tundra coils on my 4runner. They ride well and are paired with Tundra 5100's. I haven't heard anything about the 07-11 Tundra coils being used, but I would assume they wouldn't work or be very stiff due to the weight of the 5.7.

 

I think I'm gonna try it just to try it they are free and I have an auto hobby shop here on base so at most ill be 7 bucks for all day in a warm shop with all there compressors and tools so I can be warm and use there lift. Worst case ill end up cleaning all my stuff greasing everything and putting back together
