if you can do it your self it is cheaper.

Here is what you do.

if you have a drain plug, just open it up let everything out.
THen fill it backup. Do this every oil change.

if you need to drop the pan then do that, but only replace or clean the filter once.
But do it every oil change for 4 oil changes.

Then do a drian fill every 15k and you will be set for life.
unless you tow allot, then do it more often..

I took my old suburban to Valvoline and had it flushed. I felt better having somebody with all the tools to flush it and just do it once and be done. Seemed to work great. No Negetives.

To properly FLUSH it you're gonna need to drop the pan and drain the torque converter. Add some tranny flush first, I've never tried it but I've heard Seafoam works well. Run it with the flush in for a while (RTFM), then completely empty it, change the filter, and refill.

im getting mine done pretty soon at my buddys shop. they have a machine that pulls all the old fluid out, then fill with new fluid. i dropped my pan a couple of months ago and cleaned the filter, and added 5 quarts of new fluid, so when i get my flush done, it should be in pretty good shape. im waiting til i install my auxiliary tranny cooler though.

i do them myself with the machine. it costs alot i think around $250. its only worth it if you really need it and havent changed your fluid for a while. but if you maintain it all you need is a drain and fill. and the filter whenever how long toyota says to do it.

Check the dealers website for coupons. I found a coupon at my dealer for $50 for a transmission service.
