I just wanted to know how many leds I need to change the gauges, key ring, glove box and ac controls to another color. I do not want to change the blinkers or any of the warning lights. I have found a few guides but they are not the same gauges that I have. I have the gauges that have (from left to right) water temp, rpm, speed, gas level. Any help would be great.

p.s. I know how to change the lights.

So 4 194 led's for the gauges. 2? 74 led's behind a/c. and what about the key ring and glove box?
Thanks for all the help so far

Im not sure about your AC and i didnt do my glovebox instead i just put 12" LED strips under the dash on each side of the truck, but my AC had 3 74 bulbs or if you can find them then get what is called a Neo Wedge bulb for them...but i did a 95 one time and it only had 1 light behind the Ac so you just need to take it apart and look at it.

Id feel the key ring is probably the same but not positive as my 01 doesnt have that and hell i dont even think i have alight in my glovebox

Another question... Should I go with
Option 1: 360 degree super white led for all the 194s, and a 360 degree warm or cool white leds for all the 74s
Option 2: red or blue 360 degree leds for everything.
Option 3: standard bulbs for everything with a red or blue coat on them.
Also are the leds way to bright for your taste (whatever ones you have), do you wish you would have gone with a normal bulb?

P.S. If this matters at all in your decision my truck is a maroon extended cab with the grayish, blueish interior.

    Any help would be great

I would say option 1 but good luck fitting a 360 in the ac panel...but i would say the cool white and no its not to bright to me but it will be at first untill you get used to it...the first time i did this i did red which looked still kind of orange to me so i went to white and decided it blended with the white background a bit much so now im at blue for my ac and cluster and i like it!

Last question before I pull the trigger. Can you dim them at all? I don't think you can but i thought I would ask.

No my needle is still orange, the only downside i really see is that its somewhat harder to see the numers for the trip meter(s) but different colors may be a different story and you get used to that anyway

I did a search and this was the closest thread relating to my question.. here goes:

I'v got an '01 DC and there is NO light ring around the key hole. Is there a way to add one, or swap with a different year truck?? I hate fumbling around to find the hole!!! (insert joke here) ;)

    TIA!

Someone used a Camry key ring light...I saw a mod on TW but don't have the link...search it up. I don't remember the difficulty level. If I remember right, he complained about it being too bright but fixed it with some other mod.

I think Camry, Corolla and tacos share a lot of the same parts. I picked up coralla parts and put them on my taco, works/fits the same.
