    Hi guys Ill be changing thr spark plugs in a couple of weeks on my 2003 Tacoma V6 Ill be using oem spark plugs. My question is should I change the cables or coil packs as well or wait till it hits 90k to change the wires?? My truck has 61k at them moment so I dnt know if I should just to the spark plugs only. What do you all recommend me. Thanks in advance

    I'm still running the original wires and coil packs. I'm at ~114K.

    If it was me, I'd just do the plugs and see what you get.

    I think thats what Im gonna do. Like I said my truck has only 61k and is running great, but I know I need to change the plugs every 30k

    Just changed mine. I bought it used and they were never changed by previous owner. i changed them at 82k and what a diffrence it made. the driver side had NGK and the other was Denso. both were around .60 when they should be .40-.41. the NGK looked burned (lean) and the Denso looked good. I put all OEM Denso's in and she runs great. I didnt change any coil packs but i did clean the off and used dilithium grease on the gaskets.

    Here are mine after 115k miles. I changed them this past Friday and it made a world of difference I had a slight knock/rattle sound which I suspected to be the plugs, and now they are gone. The truck runs way smoother and starts easier now. I replaced them with OEM NKG because they seemed to fair the best between the Denso's and NKG's. I didn't change the coil packs or wires just the plugs and put some anti-seize on the threads and dielectric grease in the boots. She's running like a champ now.

    Yeah, just do the plugs for now. For a first gen, that's low mileage.
