So I just pulled my wiper switch out of my '96 to see why it was only working on the hi setting. After some poking around the problem turned out to be a loose solder joint on the circuit board where a wire from the wiring harness comes in. So I solder it back up properly and now the hi and low are swapped around but intermittent works as it should. There did not appear to be any other issues on the board, and yes, I connected the wire to the right place. I just got the truck less than a month ago and it came with the broken switch. Has anyone seen this type of thing before, or is it likely the result of a damaged switch? Any ideas for fixing it or do I just need a new switch? At this point I'll probably just deal with it because the switches run about $125 new.

    Thanks!
