    my buddy has a 01 tacoma 4x4 4 door

other night...driving in the dark the horn randomly came on. then off. Now its at the point it always comes on.

key just pushed in,, push horn button...marker lights come on,,,(horn disconnected, because they will go off)

there is a short involving the marker lights AND the horn

his haynes/or clymer manual doesNOT have the horn wire diagram, kant find a diagram on the web nether.

    where is the horn relay??

I think its the headlight switch. whats the price guess?
It does have a viper alarm that is wired into the markers...but not the horn, they said its not their fault this happened 10 yrs later

    thank you for your help

Seems something is defintely shorted. When markers are turned on the horn engages...something is either shorted or wired wrong. Not sure where the horn relay is located but Im assuming its somewhere in the fuse box in the firewall.

I have a Hornet, same company that makes Viper (DEI) and I have my siren output wired to my horn because the horn is louder.
