    I have been looking for a 1st gen tacoma or even the body style before it with 22-re engine. even a nice truck body to put a new motor in. anyways do you think truck would be good truck to restore if the motor blows.

    I have got this guy down to 3700. he said the valve covers are leaking also.

    Are the engines and trannys hard to find for these trucks? because if one of them goes out im going to go ahead and replace both

    the motors in these trucks dont just "go out." But, you can find these motors on ebay, CL, etc...pretty easily.

    His price was $4200, right? Doesn't seem right. Its worth almost double that.

    Eibach/Toytec coils, bilstein 5100's all around, Kenwood DNX7100 Navigation
    go down to that guys place give the truck a good glance and buy it. 3700 for a 2000 is a steal. that truck is easily worth 6k. and the motors on these trucks will last you a good 300k. as long as its kept in shape.

    That seems fair enough. Dependingplee on how its been taken care of It ought to have plenty of life left in it. Those engines will run for ever
