My newest rattle is coming from my exhaust. Its only at certain RPM's but there's definitely a "buzz" sound. I've checked the heat shield on the 2nd cat and its secure so I'm not sure where its coming from.

Have a rattle coming from the floorboard/side trim on the passenger side. I can only hear it when I'm in D and cruising at slightly above idle RPMs. Something about the low frequency of the engine - but it rattles like crazy. I am pretty sure it's the triangle shape plastic piece just below the glove box, so I'm gonna try shoving some stuff in there and see if it works.

Some others mentioned a creek from the driver's window and mine does the same thing. It's right in my ear and drives me crazy. Also have a feeling it's the seals - anybody else getting this and or find a fix?

I got the exhaust rattle at low speed but the squeaky dash irritates the hell out of me.

I stuffed some grey foam pipe insulation in between the dash and windshield to stop the rattle. It matches the color of the dash and blends in well.

    Solve one problem, find another.

For the exhaust rattle, I found the heat shield on the 2nd cat to be missing 2 screws allowing it to rattle so I put 2 bolts in their place. Exhaust is now rattle free :D

On a separate note, since I was under there, I took a look around and found this on the drivers side. The boot is torn away and the retainer clip is hanging free:mad:

Mine would creak when I hit bumps. Turned out to be the window mount bolt inside my door

I have a fairly odd sound coming from the right side of the dash. It sounds as though something like an animal is inside scratching at the dash consistently. It does it off and on. Idk what it could be. Something for the A/C? And no theres no animal in the dash lol

I'm so happy the previous owner upgraded the speakers in it. I just blast my music lol. I tried to take it to Toyota to see if they could figure it out but it never acts up when I bring it there.

Plastic fantastic interior = rattles for life. You chase one down just in time for another one to pop up like a game of whack a mole.

My dash likes to make noises... I'll take it off and bolt it back on to see if it fixes it some day.

Plus the typical dash rattle at certain speeds...

I have a 2006 Tacoma, My rattle just started a few weeks ago, sounds like it is coming from behind the stereo and is very loud. I have the factory stereo in it and have never removed it, not sure what it would be or how to fix it.

Does anyone have one of those dashmats? It's made with that fabric type material. I put one on off my old tacoma and made sure to really wedge if between the windshield and dash. No more rattle.

I've done a mod or two
Mine comes from the 1st gen cup holders. They rattle when closed, if opened very slightly it goes away. Also the freaking passenger seat sounds like every door from a scary movie whenever someone dares ride with me.
