Just bought 2 Tacomas 2001-2002 for work. I use them 100% off road for work. I'm looking for common issues that occur with these vehicles off road? Parts that I should be carrying along and things that I should be aware of? I know it's vague but I was a Land Rover guy forever now need to change gears to Toyota, I'm excited!

From what i know not much goes wrong with these trucks as long as you do the maintenance to a T! Fluids replaced and make sure you do your Timing Belt and Water Pump every 90k and you wont be stranded.

BTW. Welcome to TW. Its a great place and you will find out a lot of information. It gets addicting :( in a good way though! :)

    Good luck!

EDIT:: From what i have read use OEM parts and you will be even better off. Toyota Oil Filters are better than any filter out there and they are only around 6 bucks!
