    I have found a 91 single cab toyota pickup 4x4 clean body for $1200 is it worth it? 180,000 miles with a bad motor slung rod

    I'd offer him $800. Explain to the guy you won't know anything about the truck until an engine is put in which will not be cheap. There may be issues with the transmission, transfer case, or a number of other things that will end up costing more than the truck might be worth.

    although with only 180k the tranny, T-case, etc...should be fine.
