I'm new to this. I'm looking to replace my oem TRD bilstein shocks. what is the best replacement (stock, aftermarket). I think oem are to soft becauace when i put my Warn 8000i winch it sag so much i had to put a one inch lift in front to level it back out.

I don't want to spend allot but i want a good ride in the mountains. the stock ones are way to soft with the winch on the front. are the 5100's the aftermarket ones from bilsteins not your factory ones you get from dealer

Do a search for Bilstein 5100's - TONS & TONS of information on them. They are a bit pricey....If you're willing to spend that much.

Are you talking about front, rear, or both?
For the rear - Personally, I've run OME (Old Man EMU) on my previous tacoma and they were nice shocks (smooth) but higher price tag. The ones I've really been impressed with are Doestch Tech. I've had both the 3000 series and the Prerunner 8000series on both my jeeps. They're under $50 each on their website. Can't beat that....

after looking on the internet it seams that they don't make them for my toy. Only the soft one from trd.
