Depends what it costs. If you really want one you could get a '97 imported to BC for a reasonable price.

 

buy it, keep yours...but if you can't have the newer one as the reliable DD, i don't think it's worth it.

 

There is no way that truck is that expensive with those miles and the age it is. Just buy it straight across and use it as a trail rig keep your 04 as a DD. Think about it this way...if your just trading this guy....Why would someone want to trade his loaded trail rig for your pretty much stock 04 except if he wanted a newer (more reliable/nicer) truck

 

Diesel bud for sure, I dont know about selling the '04 though. those hilux motors never destroy. But what you have is also an amazing machine

big mistake - take your truck out on the trail and then wash it really well, you will feel better - your truck is bada$$ looking

It sounds like your talking about an even trade? then no. but that is a bad ass truck that i would like to own. but not rely on as a daily driver

 

diesel!!!! I would. Its unique and rare and has lots of personality!

 

I would buy that truck and ditch the Tacoma (yours) in a second. If it has been maintained relatively well, there's a ton of life left in the deisel and the DC Hilux is WAY more versatile. No brainer to me if the money part of it makes sense.

(But I am biased to diesel Hilux trucks - more sentimental reasons than sense)

I couldn't live with the tiny bed on that hilux though, depends on what you need.

How easy is it to get parts for those diesels up in Canada?

 

I would. Every time. Too bad its a 4dr though, it's nicer to have a real truck bed.
