Oversize Spare tire OK?

Curb checked a wall on my way into work today and totally destroyed my Mickey Thompson classic II :'(

My question is can I safely use the 32" spare tire on the front if my others are 31's? I won't be using 4wd so no worries there, just need to double check that it will not eat anything up. The truck is a 96 with add hubs.

I know its been discussed before but I'm on my phone (that I'm not supposed to have at work) so help a brotha out!

 

I am gonna say no. Get the right size spare. I wouldn't even gamble with it cause a 100.00 tire could cost thousands to fix. I had a jeep that had different size tires in the front and it fucked up alot of stuff. Play it safe and get the right size.

 

Ok I'm only a mile or so from a tire shop ill probably head over there after work and have em switch the tire over...I'm lucky it just destroyed the wheel and not the rubber!

 

The question is... Why do you have a 32" spare when the rest of your tires are 31's?

No, the previous owner had 32" km1's on it and put 31s on before he sold it to me.

If I could find 3 km1's I would just mount those but they appear to be made of 100% unobtanium these days.

 

It would be fine as a spare to get you to a service station, but not okay to be used full time. Many spares in the trunks of cars are different sized.

 

I got the tires switched out, too bad the damage was worse than I thought...
