NEED HELP!!!

So yesterday i put leds in my daytime running lights. Last night when i went to turn my interior lights on they didnt turn on. I went to autozone and no one new what it was....ive checked all of my fuses but is it possible its a relay? I tried the power outlet relay and it wasnt that...My daytime running lights and my interior lights do not work....what could it be? anyone ever have this problem before?

try switching the normal bulbs back in?

 

Tried that...and none of my interior lights work when i turn them on...went to two shops and they were like maybe its your headlight fuse haha

 

Not sure about Toyota's, but I've seen trucks with fuses that control things they aren't supposed to control... Try pulling out each fuse one at a time and checking them, could be that it's either double-fused, or mislabeled in the manual... Seen stranger things... Make sure to double-check all connections to make sure they are connected correctly!

Also, check to make sure they are grounded... A electrical meter is a wonderful thing to own and know how to use...

Another thing, did you have the lights working at any time during the installation?

You say you put LEDs in the daytime running lights? I thought first gens used the low beams as DRLs? Are you talking about the parking lights that come on at the first position on your headlight switch? Those would probably be under the taillight fuse.

This should be the relevant wiring diagram.

The way I interpret this, there should be a 120A "alternator" fuse/fusible link, a "taillight" relay, and a "taillight" fuse in the fuse/relay box under the hood. The relay is activated by the body computer when you turn on the light switch.

Recheck the ten amp taillight fuse under the hood and make sure the 120A alternator fuse is good. If the light switch, 120A fuse, and relay are all okay, you should have power present at the ten amp taillight fuse when the light switch is turned on. In other words, even if the fuse is okay, it might not be getting power. Find out if there is power at that fuse and then you can work backwards to find the problem.

But I am still suspicious that this is just a fuse that is bad. Maybe it still LOOKS okay but is blown.

Someone else already suggested you should own a multimeter or test light. I agree. Best 20 bucks I've ever spent on vehicle related tools.
