what to do,what to do with the 2002

i have a 2002 taco 2.7 4x4 and i went to napa autoparts and the ass hole there told me "buddie there isn't much u can do with this truck" all tho the guy did say my truck will last very long he did tell me nothing can be done to the engine i wanted to ask my good friends at tacoma world for some awesome ideas on what to do with my taco. i already have it lifted with 30's... keep in mind im a high school kid who works at shoprite makeing $8 an hour i been saveing up to do work on it but idk if i want to brake the bank so try and keep it chep but good...

We can tell what to do and how to do it, just need to know what you want to do with it. And the stock tire size is a 31.

First mistake was going to Napa for modding ideas.

Second mistake was lifting and running smaller size tires.

For a starting point, I would work on getting the following done.

Oil change
New filters
Differential fluid change
Transmission and transfer case fluid change
Inspect spark plugs and cables
Clean throttle body and Maf sensor
Rotate tires and inspect Psi
Jack front and inspect tires for wobble or play indicating failing ball joints or bearings.

Once you get the truck in a safe, maintained spec you can start really modding. You don't want your modded truck to let you down later on without money for necessary repairs. Your truck won't last long without proper maintenance and care.

Do you know what the lift is? The actual tire size? 265/70-16?

I don't think you're dumb.

I just see so many people rush into their wallet and the result is an ugly, cluttered truck that rides and performances with or below a factory pick up.

Do your coilovers look something like this? (behind the front wheels)

Tire size will be on the tire itself. Looks something like this

Tacomas come stock, no lift. extemely hard to tell from your avatar picture, but I'd say your stock height. And the black truck is a 98-00 model

Best attitude evar. When you have some time dig through the 1st gen section, people's build threads, the vendor section, etc. look for reviews, old group buys to see what's out there. Make notes and start narrowing down what you want, need, and can afford.
