popping sound when making turns

I replaced my shocks back in october and ever since, i hear this popping sound coming from the rear of my truck. Its pretty intermittent and only seems to happen if my truck has been sitting for a while, usually first thing in my morning or when im leaving work and it only happens on the first or second turn I make then I never hear it again. Any ideas? The truck is a '97 2wd automatic.

Check your rear diff fluid, possibly a bad rear axle seal.

I'm not sure if the 2wd versions have a double cardan joint, but if it does, try lubing your drive trains zerk fittings too
