    Does anybody know what this button is / does? I've tried pushing it a few times and nothing...

    My truck does have that viper keyless entry / alarm thing so I'm wondering if this has to do with that. Any input appreciated. Thanks!

    Its called a valet switch.


    PUSHBUTTON: That's the valet switch. It serves two functions:
    1. You can deactivate the alarm so it won't bother garage attendants and mechanics. As long as your alarm does not arm all by itself after you close the doors, your mechanic won't care anyway.

    2. If the remote is broken or lost, you operate the valet switch in a certain sequence with the ignition key---this shuts the alarm off and allows you to drive until you can replace the remote.

    Yes. It's the valet switch. I had in my Tundra. It made the visual light on dash stay lit, instead of flashing in armed mode.:)
