I was wiring up some lights this weekend and decided to remove the battery to help me gain access to the wires coming out of the main fuse box. In doing so I discovered a plug that looks like it should go to something; anyone know what this is? It has 2 wires, a Red w/ green and a White/ black

Have an alarm system? On mine I unplugged a harness near there so it wouldn't "beep" every time I locked/unlocked.

Look under the headliner above the mirror (pull the overhead console if you have one).
It might be the through-body connector for the temp sensor for a Gentex mirror.

Did your truck have the factory alarm? The FSM says it is a TVIP (Toyota Vehicle Intrusion Protection) warning buzzer if I looked at it correctly. It also says that the Red/Green is your positive wire, and the White/Black is your negative.

Look at page 4, FIG B2. I think that is where your horn (piezo buzzer) goes.

Since you have an 01 looks like it is the RS3000 alarm: http://www.customtacos.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1848998

Yup... and since the harness is there, it might be as simple as plugging in the beeper and the dash light/glass breakage sensor and programming.

That's all there was to installing the RS3200 in my '03 Tundra.
