Two questions about my '02 Tacoma

Hi all,

Just got a 5 lug 2WD '02 Tacoma, and after a while the engine light went on and I got it diagnosed at AAP and the reading was:

"P0136, 02 sensor circuit bank 1 sensor 2, see P2270, P2271"

I'm sure there's been plenty of threads devoted to the 02 sensor, but wouldn't mind having this cleared up, a little bit. P2270/1 seems to refer to" intermittent idling fluctuation and acceleration hesitation Symptoms prior to CEL."

The second question is the O/D OFF light- every time I start to drive, the light is always off (meaning the O/D is on). I'm not always on the highway and so I'd like to keep it off (so the O/D light would be on). But every time I drive and then turn the O/D off (O/D OFF light comes on), and then shut down the engine, and the next time I drive, the O/D light is off, meaning it's back in O/D?? What's going on? Is this a default feature?

Any thoughts?

Can't say on the code readings, but the O/D is always set to on (Light is off) when you turn the truck off. Unless you are towing around town, I see no point in having it off in the city, other than to reduce transmission shifting/heat.
