want to convert auto tran to manual

    3 inch suspension lift,33x10x15 km2,offset rims,flowmaster(2chamber),spectre cold air intake, headache rack, box,brush guard with kc's,chipped,billstein shocks
    i have a 99 taco 4wd automatic and want to convert to a manual. Has anyone done this? what advise would you give me?

    2019 Rubicon 4 Door,
    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    Its much less work to swap out the auto for a manual. I havent heard of any one converting one to a manual .

    thats what i meant im swapping trannys, going from auto to 5 speed, i was just wondering if anyone has done this and could offer advise or tell me problems i might run into.

    OP, I'm kinda on the fence about what you propose, my auto trans took a huge shit & from quotes I got to rebuild it has left me in shock (still) up to $3300.00 & come to find out that this is not uncommon for a price... I said bullshit to that , & will probably go used one, but did think about conversion to manual, I know the gearing in rear will be different & other things to add or remove, just dont know which way to go yet...
