On my 94 pick-up when you pull the switch to flash the high beams they work but when you push the switch to engage them on they go out completely. I've installed a new switch and it does the same thing. Is there a relay in line somewhere????

one quick way to check if the relay is good would be to try the high beams and listen for the clicking from the relay. it should be loud enough to easily hear it.

The only clicking you hear is the switch on the steering column....but you can flash the brights but still hear no clicking anywhere else.....
