    Found the right truck for me after a fair bit of searching. 2004 TRD Prerunner Double Cab, Lunar Mist.

    Very well taken care of, great vehicle history, just under 58k miles, very good mechanically and underneath, and extremely clean inside and out.

    Picked it up Thursday, and after a bit of research here on TW, the first thing I did was take care of the "axle wrap" that was there in all the Tacomas I test drove including this one. I did the quick fix of clamping the leafs together in front of the axle with a U-bolt, and let me tell you this fix worked awesome. Definitely some new leafs in my future but this was a surprisingly good fix.

    Aside from that, nothing this truck "needs", but I'm coming from a car so I'm looking for truck bed bike rack solutions. Also, trying to get used to the "softness" in the suspension, but what would I expect compared to what I'm coming from. Overall, pretty happy about finding a truck in this kind of shape, pics to come...

    Haven't done much so far - clamped the leaf spring as I mentioned earlier, removed the clear stickers from the lower part of the rear flares as they looked like crap and were cracked, and am also removing the rain shields from the windows. Definitely getting a tow bar on the back, probably going to get some BFG's, and might do something with the wheels. But it's a clean truck and I'm pretty happy with it, definitely fits the bill...

    As for now, any suggestions on things to look over since this truck is new to me? Fluids are good, but is it worth doing a flush of everything even though I'm fairly certain things are fresh? Also, somewhere in the forum I saw someone making mention of making sure a truck's got the right plugs - is this engine really finicky on what spark plugs are put in? And anything else?
