It is a 98 5 spd reg cab 4x4 with about 106k on the clock. Today I was stopped in traffic listening to some new tunes on my new stereo and waiting for the guy 2 cars up to turn left. I heard the squeal of tires on the pavement and BANG! some woman rearended me.

Luckily she got stopped pretty much before she hit me. My trailer hitch ball took the entire blow. It punched a hole right thru the bumper of her Pontiac, but so far as I can see there is zero damage to my truck. Tomorrow we will get it up on a lift to check it out. I suspect it loosened the surface rust on the frame and now we can look that over real good.

Anything else I should look for?

    stock, for now
Depending on how hard she hit, check the frame to see if its bent from your hitch taking the hit. Also, look and see if the bed ever made contact with the back of the cab.

Does not look like the bed moved a bit; will get the frame checked today.

Nope. No pain, no strain. Truck frame is fine--did not even bend the trailer hitch. I even called the cop and told him to dismiss the ticket so far as I was concerned. She was a woman in her mother's car with two squalling kids in the back seat, one of whom pelted her in the head with a toy and distracted her. When she got focused on the road again it was too late--the traffic had stopped and she could not get stopped in time.
