    not quality ones.

some knockoff eBay brands make projector headlights but halogen bulbs are weaker than stock and HID bulbs melt the housings. there's a reason there's a long walkthrough on here. only a retrofit performed with careful precision and quality products from places like TRS will yield quality results.

OK cool, thanks for answering my question. I guess I'll stick with my off road lights cuz I'm not confident I can perform a retrofit myself :(

You convinced me to give it a try but I'd like to start with brand new headlights assembly since mine are old and yellow , who makes good quality headlights to use for the retrofit?

Just recently completed this mod with the help of a friend. Great write up! Light output is absolutely killer. I drive in the dark at least 5 days a week just to work alone. I went with the Morimoto mini H1 projectors, 35w h1 4300k and bought a relay harness from RFS. I used the Anzo "Angel Eye" headlight housings. Looks great and works even better. So far so good. Too anyone thinking of getting rid of your ugly yellow stockers please do not hesitate.

there'llprobably be a little space, the shroud and the reflector housing are not going to be perfectly fit together

there shouldn't be TOO much space though

Mine had a decent sized gap as long as it clips in I wouldn't worry about it but it should be too crazy even though our headlights are rather large

I know im a little late to the party here but i just need a few things cleared up. 1) will the h1 projector only fit h1 bulbs or can we go h4 or soothing else?... 2) what all does the hi low harness do? does it control the bulb or the projector and how? 3) if i choose to go with an led bulb set up is there any other wiring i will have to deal with? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help shine some light on this! FYI my goal is to do a retrofit on my 1995 sr5 extra cab. Does anyone know if i will need to do cutting to the headlight housing to make the mini h1 fit?
