I hate conrete posts...scratched the chrome part of my front bumper cover today...

If it doesnt come out with rubbing compound ima just say fuck it and get a plate one.

Anyone know the best plate bumpers?

Stuck between ARB or a tw vendor

 

It's all subjective in terms of looks.

I love the Elite plate bumpers. Look insanely beautiful and from everything I've researched they are extremely well built.

 

ARB will most likely be heavier (weight-wise) than those built by a TW vendor.

 

Does anyone have any reccomendations for removing chrome scratches? I tried spit and paper towel (I was on my way to work when this happened). All im thinking is just wash the area, and buffer with rubbing compound. Some of the scratches can be felt..

 

I dont even think they fetch a MM deep. Maybe 2mm tops....

Well its not really just a few, it's more of a rough area 3" x 3". I just caught a concrete post the right way trying to get into a parking spot without hitting my bosses truck.

I wouldn't go through the trouble of plastiderping it. BTW where can you get ARB bumpers, and are they 3/16"?

And mine appears to be 3/16ths plate. The bumper isn't actually that heavy. I could pick it up by myself when I first had it delivered and during installation. It gets really heavy when you add a winch to it.

The ARB IMO, is a great bumper. The shop guys and I compared the weight of the old bumper to the ARB and they were very close in weight.
