Rubbing?

Great. Thanks for the replies.

With 265/75r16. Will I encounter any rubbing?

as mentioned you can run 285/75/16 on as little as 1'' of lift, all I had to do was trim my pinch weld.

go with the 33's that way you won't want to get bigger tires in a few months

33's are doable. 33x10.50s you need to hammer the pinch weld over.

33x12.50s you will need to do a little chop on the fenders. If you do alot of wheeling with the swaybar off you should smash the shit out of the firewall or tub it a tad.
I have OME 881's and the regular leaf In the rear unless you do another shim to move the axle back a half inch. The OME wont center your wheel wells. At full stuff (without bumpstops) You will also rub on the front of the wheel well.

If your truck is on the road most of the time you can get away with just the Pinch weld and put counter sunk bolts or just remove the lower ones on your flares.

I have a 1.5" OME lift (881's I think) and with 265/75/r16's I have frame rub.

Why is this?

Need more backspacing on the rims. IDK what you need for those im bad with metric sizes. But for a 12.50 4" works mint.

I really want to run 15" steelies. Thinking Wheelers HD steels.

And I really want to run 33"s.

I'm running the Slee OME 882's(Arb bull bar). The Dakar's have settled abit...

Any definitive answer if I can fit 33's without digging out the hammer?

Thanx

Pop quiz!!! 33x12.50's on a 3.5 backspaced 15" rim running 3" lift. How much rub, if any, with pinch weld pounded?

Lift don't matter. Tire has same travel as stock no matter what. If it rubs stock it will rub lifted when compressed. BFH and cutting some plastic and you can run 33's without rubbing (with the right backspacing).

I have coilover spacers so there is less up travel than stock, hence, keeping the tires farther away from the fender, correct? Can you tell me if i'll rub frame with that backspacing?

3.5"-4" you should be good. At least 4". At 4.5" my 285's(11.5) are close to the uca.

You will need to pull out the hammer. its not that difficult and it takes 5 mins whack whack whack its flat Then maybe spray some bedliner on it if your worried about rust. Sadly there really are no definitive answers anyways. It depends on what you do with your truck. If you never left the road you might not even have to whack it.

I probably have just as much weight on the front and i have 881's so i have maybe an inch of lift and i run them just fine with some extra trimming.

3.5 sticks out a little farther than the 4" so you may actually rub a tad more on the PW. But if you beating it flat anyways might as go all the way.
