HID Fog vs HID long range ?'s

    Hey everyone this is my first post here, and I just want to get some opinions.
    Right now I have a pair of KC HID Daylighters (flood/fog beam) recessed into my grill, and I want to add some lights for longer range lighting, however I don't really want to spend the $$$ for another set of HIDs (got these for an absolute steal!)
    So should i buy some long range lenses for the Daylighters and get some fog beam halogens?
    Or should I keep the HIDs as fogs and get some long range halogens?
    P.s. for halogens i'm looking at something around $200 range.

    Ok i guess my question simplified is are my daylighters better as floods or would they be better utilized as long range lights. Im starting to look into rigid light bars too they seem fairly affordable and put out a ton of light it seems like.

    rigid and affordable are mutually exclusive terms :D

    I have no real-world experience with daylighters...it sounds like you want to change the daylighters into pencil beam lights and then buy an extra set of fogs for flood light?

    why not keep daylighters as your flood light / fogs and then HID some Hellas for your long range?

    the 10" rigid is $280 on Amazon, that ain't too bad i think. but you do have a point the hellas with a conversion kit it pretty cheap too and look great. I guess the whole reason i like the rigid is cause could mount it to the bumper just below my KCs, where if i went with the hella conversion i would have to mount them to the roof bars on my ARE top, then it might not fit in my garage.

    I don't know i'mim torn. Might have to wait till I build a bumper then just see how many lights it takes to fill in the gap between the headlights lol.
    If I was rich I would just do a 40" Rigid led bar on the top and call it good!
    Brennan does having your lights behind the grill affect output or dispersion at all?

    not at all they're just too damn bright. I have the 55w bulb/ballast
