Mod Suggestions

I know, there is every mod imaginable documented on this site for these trucks. I'm just looking for some opinions to help me make up my mind . I will start out with some pics of my truck so you can see what I'm working with. All this truck has is a Dynomax muffler and a tonneau cover.

 

you can either remove or paint the Tacoma emblem on the side of the door. removing the flaps would be great. you can paint the toyota emblem on the grill a different color. get some window tint

Truck has 63,000 miles and is paid off! Time to sink some money into it. First off :

-My frame is getting replaced. While they are doing that I am getting 265/75/16 Duratrack tires and the tranny flushed/serviced.

-All the other items in the service manual that I have not done yet I will do myself (rear diff oil etc).

-I have black weathertech window deflectors coming.

-I have stock 16" steelie rims with (lol) chrome hubcaps. My plan is to ditch the hubcaps and paint the rims flat black to go with the black grill, bumpers, etc.

-Black out the Tacoma badges. Paint the Toyota emblem on the plastic rim centercaps and the front chrome one on grill a dark red.

-With so much blacked out, go with white letters out on the tires, thinking it will go alright with the color of the truck.

-OME lift after the frame replacement has been done for awhile and I'm sure things are set.

So what do you think Tacomaworld? Will anything look ugly/ what would you do differently? After the frame replacement I am in this for the long haul, gonna drive this truck till it dies.

 

I like this idea, the amber sticks out like a sore thumb.

 

Yup. I actually have a 3 inch deckplate I already bought and haven't installed yet. And a pop n lock for the tailgate too. I have been busy as hell the last few years lol.

 

I will pop them off and see what I can do. That would be a real easy mod if doable.

 

I'm thinking the door emblems would look good black. As far as the mudflaps goes I am hesitant to ditch them as it is really rocky around here and I don't want to ding the shit out of the paint. Then again maybe that won't happen as I'm not going to wider tires. Window tint is out it is a pullover magnet here. I could do the back window though.
