Krylon gloss black, holding up strong 2 years later

rear bumper has some scrapes but rocks will take off any coating. Just make sure you sand the chrome very well and use a self etching primer.

For the valence I'd use the vinyl/fabric dye. Won't scratch off.

If it were me, I'd properly prep and paint the bumper vs. Plasti-dip.

Not a Tacoma, but I just plasti-derped, then spray painted my rear bumper. 3 coats of plasti-dip and 3 coats of Duplicolor Gloss Black. I did it this way so I could return it back to stock if I wanted. Came out pretty good with only a couple of rough spots.

If it were me, I'd prime it.

Better paint adhesion.

you need to use self etching primer on chrome or it will peel.

I used plasti derp on my bumpers and grille... About a year on them and they still look good. It takes head on impact well because of its rubbery qualities but anything glancing off of it at an angle will peel it. It's super easy to touch up though and blends together well... I got rear ended by a car I was towing and it peeled about a huge gash out of the rear and I just resprayed that spot and it looks seamless again.
