Ophir Pass Panorama

This is one of the most spectacular alpine Colorado passes. If you're in the Silverton area you should check it out.

Ophir is beautiful. I'll be out there in 3 weeks. Hopefully Imogene Pass and others are open by then.

Yeah, I'd have done Imogene Pass if it were open. It's been crazy windy these past few days and that really does melt snow quickly. I'll bet Imogene is open before you get there.

I tried to do Reno Divide because I read a forum post (elsewhere...) saying it was open. But there was large tree blocking the top. It's likely that the tree fell in the past few days in the wind storms. If I had a chainsaw, a winch, and a buddy, I might have gone forward. But having none, I turned around.

Enjoy your trip.
