I have an 02 Tacoma 4x4 3.4L auto and the truck runs great. No lights on and maintained by Toyota its whole life. I took it today to Firestone for an emissions test and the said it failed because 2 of the 5 readyness systems did not have results.

    The report says
    O2 sensor: COMPLETE
    O2 Senson Heater: COMPLETE
    Catalytic Converter: NOT COMPLETE
    Secondary Air: UNSUPPORTED
    EGR System: UNSUPPORTED
    Evap System: NOT COMPLETE

They tell me that the unsupported items are fine but the NOT COMPLETE means that the truck just needs to be driven to take a reading.... I just drove the truck 500 miles last weekend and a few short trips this week. I have not changed the battery or had to jump start it. Firestone said they have never heard of this issue (unless the battery was just replaced)

    Any ideas?

Does your local dealer do emissions testing?

I was going to try to avoid paying double for inspection. If I take it to Toyota they will charge me for the inspection I have already paid for at Firestone. But to answer your question yes they do and if no one has any ideas on a fix that will be my next step.
