Walmart Truck Bed Liner

It's OKAY. It's held up alright on my flares, have a few rock chips here and there. If I needed to do a bed I wouldn't use it though. Also have gone through a number of the cans and out of those I had about two cans that crapped out on me half way through. I've tried duplicolor with similar results.

My fucking product review is that it's okay, but the cans suck and it gets messy and sometimes the cans fail and sometimes it chips. My opinion is to get something better if you're doing a large area like a bed, that will see some hard use.

 

This $hit is the bomb! I'm actually looking at the can right now. I just got done doing the tailgate fix and got a reinforcement and had to relign the holes to fit over the tailgate protector (top piece). I had Rhino-lined the reinforcement and after widening the holes, I used this to recoat the insides of the holes. Works great!

I didn't get mine at walmart, though, I got it at lowes ~ lowes is across the street from my apartment and just so much better to get supplies! I only stand behind it because I didn't do anything big and I put like 3 or 4 coats on the bare metal.

 

It's like $5, do it! Do it! Do it!

I used it to paint my frame after I wire brushed the rust off. Seems to be holding well and looks good too.

I didn't read all of the posts but yes sometimes the cans crap out and the stuff runs very easily. So be cautious about how much you spray in one area at a time. Keep moving and by the time you get done with your whole bed your finger tips will proably be brused. This stuff is not even comparable to the exspensive proffessional stuff in my opinion. I don't think you'll ever get it thick like the more exspensive stuff.

 

This isn't Walmart bedliner, it's Rustoleum bedliner. I've used it before on my sliders that I originally did with herculiner and so far it's held up great. I'm thinking of redoing the bedrails I did with herculiner with the this stuff. I also did my BAMF diff skid with it and it's also holding up well. I don't know if I would do the whole bed with it though.

 

I had it on my light bar with no off roading only normal everyday highway driving and it started chipping off in a month. Yes the preparation to the bar was done correctly I know a thing or two about painting. I can tell you 100% is was due to the poor performance of this crappy Rustoleum product. Starting researching and found I wasn't the only one. Did more research and found out the factory had some Quality Control issues and a significantly large run of these bad batches got released and sent to stores.

I used these a few years back on my rear bumper and was very pleased. Used it again, but with very poor results. Maybe that explains it!!

 

I sprayed the inside of my rear wheel wells with this. It looked okay, but it came off in a few spots when I pressure washed in there to get some mud out. I think under normal conditions (no pressure washing) it would have lasted longer. Even though it is sold as a bed liner, I would not spray my whole bed with it - there are better options.

 

I painted my sliders with Duplicolor bedliner. It's very difficult to get good coverage - you have to do 5-6 coats with a good amount of time between coats. Hold the nozzle over an area too long and it will start running. Something that viscous simply wasn't meant to come out of an aerosol nozzle.

 

Go for some Raptor Liner. 120 bucks and it'll be way better than that stuff.

 

I used it on my oval steps. Rustoleum Bed Coating
The factory powder coat was horrible & had rusted after one winter.
Sanded everything down, including plastic steps,
cleaned with acetone, let dry
sealed around seams with silicone.
used rustoleum rust inhibitor primer first
Then two light coats of the bed coating spray.
They have held up great used everyday.
If you put it on too thick the texture does not come out & will run.
They now sell a $5 paint can spray trigger for cans works great.
Spent about $25 in materials better than new.
