Mine is a 14" center offset...it works I guess. I had some issues with it staying clamped after flexing it the first few times. I ended up getting ultra-anal retentive and making sure that the muffler was perfectly centered between the intermediate pipe and tailpipe, then clamping. I had it within 1/16" of being perfectly centered and it hasn't came loose again. That's the only issue I've had.

Either way will work... a muffler shop can make either application work. Stock however is offset in and center out which seems to be what most people go with when they get aftermarket mufflers most likely for the ease of install.

I went with an offset/offset design as I wanted the muffler to hang a little higher which also allowed the custom tailpipe I had made to be even more hidden behind the frame rail.
