11.5 inch tires... will they fit

    Let me first say i tried doing a search and didn't see anything that came up. I'm sure you guys get the tire fit questions a million times a day, so i apologize in advance.

    I have a 03 prerunner ext cab that i would like to fit one or two in wider tires under with only using different wheels and spacers. I like the goodyear wranger duratrac tires. These are the tire sizes i'm considering 32x11.5x15 or 16. Some of the sizes those tires aren't available in but none the less i'm wondering what kind of spacing will be needed to run without rubbing... Thanks

    Not sure if your running a lift or not but im running 3" spacer lift and i fit 31x11.5x15 without any rubbing at all. 32s should be fine i would think but ill let someone else chime in :anonymous:

    I had 32x11.5x15 with an 1.25" lift on stock aluminum 15s with no rubbing.

    The stock tires are 31.7 inches i believe, so why would i need to lift the truck to go wider? :confused:

    My tires are close to that wide...I forget the backspacing on my wheels but they rub at full lock on the frame

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    Stock is 265/70 16 which is only 30.6" roughly. Wider tire creates a larger turning area which will put the tire into the fender/frame.

    Gotcha, so the truck needs to be higher to rise above the centerline of the tire. I copy. Well, If I must lift then I want to go with the shortest lift possible. Ive done some reading and if you're doing just a 1-2 inch lift, blocks seem to be ok. I would much rather go with AAL but havent seen a set up that offers that short of a lift.

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    Check out . They sell a 1.5" leaf pack and a 1.5" AAL. It goes in between the overload and the other leafs. And being a first gen, you can always just stick a longer shackle in there to get the 1-2" of lift also.
